As you walk through Kirkham you can’t help but notice the beautiful postcards in shop windows created by local children. In a series of recorded workshops children from Pear Tree, Kirkham and Wesham and St Michaels primary school created their very own postcards from the past. In the workshop children were encouraged to imagine what life may have been like during their chosen era (Victorian, Roman and Tudor). They then created their own paintings to reflect what they might have seen and wrote a letter to present day Kirkham telling their story. Here are just a few of the finished pieces.
